Cisco ISE

Using SysManX with Cisco ISE is easy to set up and eliminates the need for an internet SMS Gateway provider.

Before following this guide, you should install Cisco ISE and SysManX. A default SysManX installation with the HTTP Interface enabled will be sufficient.

Configure Cisco ISE

Go to Administration -> System -> Settings -> SMS Gateway

Create a new SMS Gateway Provider named ”Sysman” as shown below:

Select Provider Interface type to be ”SMS HTTP API", and configure as follows:

There is a known issue (CSCvd43602) with Cisco ISE 2.2 that requires the Data-field to not be empty, otherwise SMS sending will fail. For installations prior to 2.2 you can configure everything in the URL field, and leave the Data field empty:
